Do you remember Johnbethel Ezeugo, the young artiste who trilled diplomats at the Diplomatic Jazz Night in 2016, held the stage on Nelson Mandela Day at the South African High Commission, kept Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, and some delegates excited with his performance at the Presidential Villa? He would be storming Nsukka this Saturday, for a four hours music concert, to offer us the harmony from his guitar strings and some acoustic jazz rendition.
Ezeugo, the music maker, plays what Nigerian writer Onyeka Nwelue calls ‘Soul Jazz’ –a musical style which borrows it’s lyrics from storytelling and rich native folklore. His songs promote culture, celebrates life, adores nature, and this is evident in his first music video, entitled, Ezeugo, which was shot in 2016, at the bank of Oguta Lake, the largest natural lake in Imo State, Nigeria.
This budding artiste, an embodiment of talent and creativity, will be storming the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, this Saturday, 24th March, 2018, in an event which The Republic tagged, Ezeugo Live.
The epoch-making event which will also feature some Nigerian artistes like Kizito, D’Base, Kezie, will be hosted by Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and media personality, Lorenzo Menakaya.
Ezeugo is set to shutdown Nsukka this weekend. The venue is at the CEC Quadrangle, UNN and event starts by 5pm.
Tickets are currently available, both online and offline, and of course, at the event venue. To book a ticket online, visit, www.evy.ng. For more enquires, partnership and sponsorship call: 08164705910 or visit his Facebook page: Ezeugo; Instagram: @ezeugolive @ezeugo1.
